Plastic Shims 

A shim can be referred to as a ‘washer’ or a ‘spacer’ and is generally a thin piece of material that is used between two pieces of equipment to ‘fill the gap’ and set correct alignment between mating components. Generally available in material thicknesses ranging from 0.005 mm up to 5 mm 

Plastic shims have excellent wear and corrosion resistance and can be a very cost-effective alternative to metal shims. Plastic is a very durable product and is available in a wide range of materials and thicknesses.
