What is Gasket and How is it Used?

Gaskets are usually made from the materials like cork, paper or rubber. They are very flexible as they are compressed to fill the gap between two surfaces. Most of the times, a device with moving parts has a high risk of breaking down because of an enormous possibility of wear down and friction between the two parts. For such devices, it becomes vital to producing a customised form of a gasket that comes with the optimised functionality. This is the reason why most of the industrial houses are focusing on the customs form of a gasket that is developed from the combination of materials. The mix allows the finished product to carry characteristic of all forms of materials used in it. Sometimes, the custom form of a gasket ends up showing typical characteristic that was not even present in the material used for manufacturing it.
