COMBINATION SET PACKINGS

This product, as the name implies, are packing sets manufactured using a combination of material styles designed to meet specific application requirements

MODEL 102

A combination set of packing rings specifically designed for soot blowers. It comprises end rings in braided expanded pure graphite reinforced with stainless steel wire, plus intermediate rings of die moulded expanded graphite

Soot Blower Duties

Maximum Operating Temperature

Steam : +550⁰C

Oxidising : +450⁰C

Minimum Operating Temperature -200⁰C

Maximum System Pressure : 250 bar

Maximum shaft Speed : 20 m/s

Typical Applications

  • Designed primarily for soot blowers.
  • Can be used on travelling carriages, swivel tubes, rotary blowers and valve stems

Material Properties

  • Compatible with media in the range pH 0-14 excluding strong oxidising agents

MODEL 103

A combination set of packing rings specifically designed for bowl mill worm shaft applications. It comprises rings of braided expanded pure graphite with separator gasket rings of flexible pure graphite, usually 2 mm thick. A typical set will consist of four braided graphite rings with a separator ring top and bottom and in-between each one, five in total

  • Suitable for use with coal dust, hot dry ash, flue gas, hot air, gas and oil, superheated and saturated steam
